Though your organization may not make our Top 10 list, be encouraged. If you are doing what God has called you specifically to do, or desire to do so and will follow through on that, you’re Number #1 on our Top 10 ministry list.

#1 – Doing what God has specifically called you to do.

As excited as we are about promoting our Top 10 ministries, exceptional ministries now in a season of reaping abundant fruit, this “tipping point” is usually only achieved for a short season, often as a result of many longer seasons of plowing and planting seed and growing the ministry, sometimes by the generations before us.

Our ROI Ministry’s greatest disclaimer is that only God knows and sees all the lasting fruit from your faithful obedience motivated by love for him and others. The Bible makes it clear that the greatest rewards for obedience will be given to His followers that made great sacrifices in this life, for others. If you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are doing what God has called you to do, but you are NOT seeing abundant lasting fruit right now, we encourage you to keep faithfully plowing and planting seed. One day here or on the other side of eternity, you will see that fruit! Our ROI Ministry Top Ten, number #1 position, is reserved for you as an individual or organization with a specific, God-given calling, fulfilled either in the marketplace at home or in full or part-time ministry and often for years with little apparent fruit before its current season of fruitfulness. (The rest of our ROI Ministry Top 10 list, #2 through #10, are in no particular order.)

This is exactly what most of our Top 2 through 10 organizations experienced for decades before they began to see the great harvest that has placed them on our Top 10 list today. Some of the greatest ministries of all time were founded and led by “heroes of the faith” such as Henrietta Mears who had to wait till the other side of eternity before they could begin to see the phenomenal lasting impact from a life lived that honored God. Few Christians have even heard of Henrietta Mears today; however, the lives she touched by simply leading young adults to the Lord and discipling small groups of young people have shaped the world we live in today.  Among those she taught are the founders of Young Life and Campus Crusade for Christ by Bill and Vonette Bright. Bill, a former small business owner, gave us The Jesus Film, that has been the most effective and fruitful tool for sharing Christ since the days of the apostles and when Jesus walked the earth. When Billy Graham was asked about Henrietta Mears, he said, “I doubt that any other woman, other than my wife or mother has had so marked an influence on my life.”

Another example of deferred kingdom fruitfulness involves Jim Elliot, Nick Saint, Ed McCully Pete Fleming, and Roger Youderian, who did not see any lasting fruit as they reached out to the Waodani people who took their lives. However, today there are millions of people serving God full-time in the foreign mission field as a result of their sacrifice and their families’ response to the tragic loss of their lives.

Again, for this reason, if you are doing what God has specifically called you to do in spite of visual abundant measurable results now, we have reserved our #1 spot on our Top 10 list for YOU. If you know what specific thing God has called you to do, and do it, you will one day see that lasting fruit.
